Nominations are now open for the Quad Cities Regional Business Journal’s second annual Fastest Growing Companies awards.
Launched in 2022 by the QCBJ, the recognition event identifies and honors the region’s most dynamic companies that have shown explosive growth – making significant contributions to the strength of the local economy.
“This event is essentially a localized version of Inc. Magazine’s 5000 Fastest-Growing Private Companies in America,” said John Lohman, CEO of the Corridor Media Group, which launched the QCBJ in late 2021.

He added that “Celebrating entrepreneurship and the success of private enterprise is the foundation of this event.”
Fastest Growing nominees will be ranked according to revenue growth over a three-year period with both dollar and percentage increases being taken into account.
The QCBJ is partnering with Honkamp PC to confidentially accept the applications. Honkamp Krueger will determine all the nominees’ percentage growth from 2020-2022 to determine the winner.
The Fastest Growing Companies contest is open to companies headquartered in Rock Island, Henry and Mercer counties in Illinois and Scott, Clinton and Muscatine counties in Iowa.
To be eligible, companies must be for-profit entities and have revenue of at least $350,000 in each of the fiscal years ending 2020, 2021 and 2022. The companies also must show revenue growth in 2022 as compared to 2020 (a three-year period).
Last year’s winner – with a whopping 211% increase in revenues from 2019 to 2021 – was Revive at The Group Med Spa in Davenport. A total of 15 area businesses were recognized as the QCBJ’s Fastest Growing Companies inaugural event at Bally’s Quad Cities in Rock Island.
This year’s program also will include a reception for all the honorees on Thursday, Sept. 7, at the Quad Cities Waterfront Convention Center in downtown Bettendorf.
The program will include an awards presentation and videos featuring the top winners as well as remarks from the CEO of the No. 1 Fastest Growing Company. The cost for the reception is $65 per person or $480 for a table of eight.
The platinum sponsor is TBK Bank. Honkamp PC is the gold sponsor. For information about sponsorships, contact Dayle Hall at [email protected].
To be considered for Fastest Growing, companies across the region must submit a completed nomination form and a compiled, reviewed or audited financial statement or tax return (first four pages of income tax returns). No general ledger information is needed and all financial information will be kept confidential. No financial information or actual revenue amounts will be published. There is no cost to apply.
