A new DuTrac Community Credit Union branch office building will be open for business by next July in Moline.
Those are the plans of DuTrac officials who hosted a groundbreaking ceremony Wednesday morning, Nov. 1, at the site of the new building – 3153 Avenue of the Cities, Moline. The 3,200-square-foot building will have modern features to better serve DuTrac customers, credit union leaders said during Wednesday’s brief ceremony on a cold, cloudy morning.
The event attracted about 50 people from the business community, including Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce members, DuTrac leaders, representatives from Russell and other businesses.
Construction on the new building is expected to start soon. It will replace the old DuTrac branch building that was recently torn down – along with two other buildings – at that Avenue of the Cities site. (That site currently has a fence around it and has several pieces of construction equipment on the land.)
“We were having a lot of mechanical issues with the older building, and there was no room to grow. …. The new building is going to give us that room,” Kim Adams, vice president of operations and facilities for DuTrac, told the QCBJ during Wednesday’s ceremony.
Some of the new features of the new building will include:
