New eight-week classes begin March 7 at EICC

A new session of classes will begin soon at Eastern Iowa Community Colleges (EICC).

The new eight-week class term begins March 7 and ends in May. Classes in the upcoming session meet for the same number of class hours as the traditional 16-week schedule.

The eight-week schedule is ideal for people who are unable to begin classes in January. They also work great for those current students who need to pick up an extra class to fill out their schedule, according to EICC officials.

Courses offered include general education requirements, as well as entry courses for career and technical programs. Financial aid is available.

As with the 16-week classes, students have the option of face-to-face classes at the college, traditional online classes or live online classes that use Zoom to meet online with a live instructor and their fellow classmates.
