Modern Woodmen holds winter clothing drive

Modern Woodmen of America will hold a drive-thru clothing drive on Saturday, Dec. 17, to support SAL Community Services.

The Rock Island-based fraternal financial services organization is requesting new and gently used winter clothing to benefit the Quad Cities nonprofit organization that provides resources, support and advocacy for low-income working families.

Donations will be collected from 4-8 p.m. outside Modern Woodmen’s home office at 1701 First Ave. Participants will drive through the front drive (near the granite sign) and make their donations. The drive is accepting new and gently used winter coats, hats, scarves and gloves, or monetary donations (checks made payable to SAL Community Services).
