Mayors’ Young Adult Hiring Fair set for Wednesday

A QCA Mayors’ Young Adult Hiring Fair is planned for noon to 5 p.m. Wednesday, March 2, at the TaxSlayer Center conference center, 1201 River Drive, Moline.

The event for young adults, aged 16-24, is sponsored by Quad Cities mayors in conjunction with IowaWORKS, American Jobs Center, Black Hawk College, Scott Community College, local school districts and the Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce.

More than 40 companies will be attending to hire young workers. Hundreds of students are expected to be bused to the event from area school districts.

The goal of the QCA Mayors’ Young Adult Hiring Fair is to connect businesses to young adults who have some basic workplace skills, education and training experience.
