
Learn how to create a “dementia-friendly” environment at an upcoming Lunch and Learn session from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday, Oct. 13, at the QC Waterfront Convention Center, 2021 State St., Bettendorf.
Sponsored by the Bettendorf Business Network, the session will include information on how to support individuals living with dementia in the community or at work.
“Dementia friendly” is a term used to describe a community, organization or business that is aware of and trained to accommodate individuals living with dementia by providing them with a safe, respectful and supportive environment, according to a news release from the BBN.
Admission is $15 and includes a lunch buffet. Reservations are required through the registration website.
