Quad Cities-based insurance firm Lohman Companies has purchased E.H. Schroder Insurance Agency in Rock Island.

Lohman announced in a news release last week that Schroder’s Rock Island office will close and combine with Lohman’s Moline offices.

The release said that Schroder’s DeAnn Bell will join Lohman. E.H. Schroder’s President Steve Schroder has retired and representative Al Metz is expected to do so at the end of March.

“E.H. Schroder Insurance Agency has offered complete insurance services to customers in the Quad Cities area for over 100 years,” Mr. Schroder said in the release. “It has been an honor serving the community, and it is an honor to go into retirement knowing that the fine agents and staff at Lohman Companies will honor our legacy and continue our work.”

“We’re a family company,” added Scott Lohman, who owns Lohman Companies with Brett Lohman and Todd Lohman. “We have such huge respect for the work E.H. Schroder Insurance has done as a family-owned company. We wish Steve Schroder and Al Metz a happy retirement. We are honored to continue their work and are thrilled that DeAnn will bring her experience with her to Lohman Companies.”

E.H. Schroder Insurance offered a full array of insurance services. Lohman Companies plans to continue fulfilling the insurance needs of the new and transitioning customers with its range of insurance products, including business, health, life, disability, auto, homeowners and more.

E.H. Schroder customers with questions are urged to call the Lohman Companies at (309) 764-8331 or visit the office at 3901 15th St. D, Moline. Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m., Monday-Friday.
