The second annual LeClaire Eagle Festival — Eagles & Ice is coming up on Saturday and Sunday, Jan. 20-21, and organizers are still seeking sponsors.
Sponsors will be acknowledged throughout event advertising, including on a dedicated web page, in paid and organic social media, event signage, emcee mentions during the event and more, according to information provided by the LeClaire Chamber of Commerce.
“We know that, with your support, this event will bring much-needed visitors to LeClaire during the slow season,” organizers said.
Available sponsorship levels include: Soaring Sponsors ($1,000); Ice Sculpture Sponsors to join Bamboo Baby Boutique, Bela and the LeClaire Chamber of Commerce ($500); Supporting Sponsors to join First Central State Bank ($250); other sponsors ($100-$249); and In-kind Sponsors, who, for example, could provide services or accommodations. For example, a LeClaire hotel is providing two rooms for the eagle handlers and their birds who are traveling from the St. Louis area, according to the chamber.
The two-day event will feature ice carving and eagle watching on Saturday, and live presentations, ice carving and eagle watching on Sunday. New this year is a storyteller as the emcee. Activities also include a live bird demonstration with owls (in addition to the live eagles), and a local photographer who boasts incredible eagle and wildlife photography, according to the LeClaire Chamber.
Back this year is the free hot cocoa bar, an art project for kids, and more.
