Lead(h)er to host informational ‘huddle’ Nov. 9

Lead(h)er

Ask questions, get advice on workplace and career issues and learn more about Lead(h)er at the organization’s upcoming huddle, “Help Me Help You,” on Thursday, Nov. 9, at Ascentra Credit Union, 2019 Grant St., Bettendorf.

The huddle — which will run from 5:30 to 8:30 p.m. — will include drinks, networking and an impactful “speed mentoring” event. Attendees may ask for or offer input related to career paths, a project, work relationship, professional development, mentoring or a work situation, according to a news release.

Attendees must be very brief and succinct while explaining issues so there will be time to receive input before moving to the next table to repeat the process. “Imagine speed-dating for the purpose of problem-solving,” the registration website states.

“We all have issues we are working on or considering how to address,” the site states. “Often, we would like input from others as part of our decision-making process. ‘Help Me Help You’ is a time to bring your question or situation to others for their insights.”

The event facilitators will be the mentor-mentee pair of Kathy Ramp and Joanna Tyler.
