The Downtown Bettendorf Business Women organization is offering two $1,000 scholarships to female graduating students in the Class of 2025, one each from Bettendorf High School and Pleasant Valley High School. The scholarships honor the late Bettendorf Alderman Debe LaMar.
Ms. LaMar served five terms on the city council and was known for her public service and support of the arts.
Interested students must apply by May 15, and submit a statement of no more than 300 words and a letter of recommendation. Applications are available at https://dbbwomen.wixsite.com/scholarship/scholarship-application.
