IMEG Corp. expands in Ohio, grows to 2,000+ team members

IMEG Corp., a Quad Cities-based leading full-service engineering firm, has acquired the engineering division of Veregy, formerly Dynamix Engineering, in Columbus, Ohio.

“We are excited to add to our existing Ohio-based teams and deepen our bench of expertise in the region,” IMEG President/CEO Paul VanDuyne said in a Monday, Oct. 3, release announcing the deal. “We already have an existing working relationship with the Columbus team and their diverse client base is a testament to their technical skills and client-centric focus – two vital characteristics that match IMEG’s own priorities.”

Details about the transaction were not disclosed.

According to IMEG, the former Dynamix launched in Columbus in 1997 as a full-service mechanical, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and technology engineering firm focusing on design engineering and systems assessments. It specializes in consulting engineering services for building and infrastructure systems in the healthcare, education, government, transportation, commercial, recreation and sports markets, among others.

Lee Anne Dye, who led Veregy’s engineering team, said her team is looking forward to being part of IMEG’s growing national presence and breadth of disciplines. “This merger builds on our long-time project partnership history and allows us to bring even more value to our clients,” she added.

The new engineering team joined IMEG effective Thursday, Sept. 29, and now is doing business as IMEG Corp. It will continue to operate out of its existing Ohio location with the same team and leadership continuity.

This acquisition creates IMEG’s 72nd U.S. location and grows the firm to more than 2,000 team members, including 100 in Ohio.

The deal comes on the heels of IMEG’s acquisition in late July of the Virginia-based christopher consultants, which operates throughout the greater Washington, D.C., metro area.

IMEG, with headquarters in Rock Island, is 100% employee-owned and results-driven with a passion for transforming environments and communities through high-performance design and infrastructure. IMEG is a Top 5 Engineering Firm in the U.S. (BD+C) and ranked No. 71 on ENR’s Top 500 Design Firms list. For more information, visit imegcorp.com.
