Illinois House Speaker Emanuel “Chris” Welch will headline the Rock Island County Democratic Party’s Sixth Annual “Unity Dinner” from 5-7 p.m. Thursday, March 28, at the Stern Center, 1713 Third Ave, Rock Island.
The event is hosted by the Rock Island County Democrats.
Other speakers joining Mr. Welch are: 17th Congressional District U.S. Rep. Eric Sorensen, State Sen. Mike Halpin, State Rep. Gregg Johnson, and also from the 17th Congressional District will be State Central Committeewoman Pamela Davidson and Committeeman and State Rep. Maurice West.
“We are honored and excited to have House Speaker Welch attending our Unity Dinner,” said Mr. Halpin, the Rock Island County Democratic Party chair.
“His attendance underscores the importance Democrats across Illinois place on re-electing the Biden/Harris ticket and keeping this county blue in November.”
Tickets for the dinner, which will include a full-course meal and refreshments, will be available at the door the night of the event.
