A newly released ranking reveals that Honkamp, P.C., with operations in the Quad Cities, remains one of the nation’s most successful public accounting firms.
Honkamp is one of INSIDE Public Accounting’s Top 200 Firms for 2023, the national organization announced. Honkamp was ranked 109th with $43.86 million in net revenues.
INSIDE Public Accounting (IPA) calls itself the leader in data collection for the public accounting profession. Its annual rankings analyzed data from 600 firm responses to the annual IPA Practice Management Survey.
Honkamp is a CPA and business advisory group headquartered in Dubuque, Iowa, with approximately 260 employees. The firm has eight locations, including an office in Davenport.
Honkamp also was among the top 200 firms in last year’s ranking. INSIDE Public Accounting’s rankings are based on firms’ net revenues.

The latest honor comes just four months after Honkamp was named a 2023 Top 10 Midwest CPA firm in Accounting Today’s annual ranking of CPA firms. Honkamp also was the fastest-growing Iowa-based firm highlighted, with the publication calling it a “firm to watch.”
Formerly known as Honkamp Krueger & Co., P.C., the firm was founded in 1947. Today, it serves client organizations from coast to coast ranging from privately held organizations to individuals and nonprofits. It specializes in industries including construction and real estate,
dental practices, home health care, restaurants, manufacturing and distribution.
Honkamp has additional locations in Cedar Falls, Hiawatha and Waukee in Iowa, and Madison, Platteville and Oshkosh, Wisconsin.
