MUSCATINE, Iowa – Greater Muscatine Chamber of Commerce & Industry (GMCCI) highlighted the 2022 milestones of its members and its staff achievements as it hosted its annual celebration last week.
On Thursday, March 23, GMCCI hosted its Annual Meeting and Recognition Night at the downtown Merrill Hotel. The event also marked a leadership transition on its board as well as recognized its volunteers’ efforts last year. Attendees also enjoyed comedian Bobby Ray Bunch.
Gage Huston, the 2022 GMCCI Board chair, passed the gavel to new Chair Joey Krieger.
GMCCI also recognized these members with awards:
- Young Professional of the Year, Michael Fredrickson.
- Chamber Ambassador of the Year, Tasha Phillips.
- Volunteer of the Year, Nick Gow. Mr. Gow was honored for his involvement in numerous community organizations over the years including Keep Muscatine Beautiful, YPN, Big Brothers Big Sisters, Muscatine Branching Out, United Way, Boy Scout Troop 426 and various events in the city.

There were many accomplishments in 2022 and in 2023, we will strive to make this year amazing,” said Brad Bark, GMCCI president and CEO. “Our mission, at GMCCI, is to be a catalyst for advancing our region’s economy, improving our quality of life, and enhancing our member’s success.”
