A bakery that specializes in Bundt cakes has opened a new location in Moline. 

The two-day grand-opening ceremony for Nothing Bundt Cakes, 3923 41st Ave. No. 10, Moline, is set for Friday and Saturday, April 21 and 22.

The new Nothing Bundt Cakes is open Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

Here is the schedule of events for the grand opening:

  • Friday, April 21: Ribbon-cutting ceremony at 9 a.m.; there will be a free confetti Bundtlet giveaway to the first 100 guests; it also is Youth Hope Benefit Day with 20% of sales donated to this organization.
  • Saturday, April 22: Free confetti Bundtlet giveaway to first 100 guests; appearance by state champ Moline High School boys basketball team from 11a.m. to 1 p.m.

The business is owned by Heather Sowards, who is also owner of Nothing Bundt Cakes in Davenport at 3020 E. 53rd St.

Some of the cakes offered include red velvet, white chocolate chip, lemon, carrot, blueberry bliss and snickerdoodle.

“Our Bundt cakes are handcrafted in every bakery in a variety of delicious flavors and sizes. To top it all off, our bakeries offer a wide selection of retail items, including party supplies, decor and gifts, making Nothing Bundt Cakes the perfect one-stop celebration shop,” according to the company website.

In 1997, Dena and Debbie founded Nothing Bundt Cakes in their Las Vegas home kitchens, and it has since grown to more than 430 bakery locations in 40-plus states and Canada, offering a modern spin on a classic treat.

The Moline store is the second franchise in the Quad Cities.
