Girl Scout Cookie Season is back! Stock up on the iconic cookies while supporting the Girl Scouts of Eastern Iowa and Western Illinois now through Sunday, March 17.
This year’s cookie lineup includes: Thin Mints, Samoas, Adventurefuls, Tagalongs, Do-si-dos, Trefoils, Lemon-Ups, Girl Scout S’mores and gluten-free Toffee-tastics, each for $6 per package.
All proceeds from cookie sales stay with local councils and troops to support Girl Scout service projects, programs, troop travel, summer camp and more, according to a news release.
Cookies will be available through local Girl Scouts. If you do not know a Girl Scout, visit www.GirlScoutsToday.org/cookies, select a troop in your community and purchase Girl Scout Cookies online.
Cookie booths also will begin popping up throughout the area at local retailers and community events beginning Friday, Feb. 16.
When Girl Scouts sell a package of cookies, they’re doing much more than simply selling treats, according to the release. They also are flexing their entrepreneurial muscles and providing invaluable, year-round experiences for themselves and fellow Girl Scouts while developing valuable life skills, including money management, team building, public speaking and decision-making.
