Sophia and Henry were the most popular names of babies born in 2021 at Genesis BirthCenters in Davenport and Silvis, the hospital announced.
There were 18 Sophias born at Genesis in 2021. A total of 16 baby boys were named Henry at Genesis.
Henry has consistently been popular among boy names for new parents in recent years, but it tops Genesis’ list for the first time. Sophia was also the favored name for Genesis girls in 2010, 2011 and 2013.
The most popular baby names of the year in the United State are: Liam and Olivia, according to babynames.com. (Sophia is No. 5 nationally for girls, and Henry is No. 19 for boys.)
