Objective assessment
Lilypad Awards provide a comprehensive and objective assessment of rural health clinic performance. They evaluate provider-based (hospital-owned) or independent practices to produce a comprehensive ranking system for every rural health clinic in the nation. The Top Five organizations in the five geographic regions earned 2024 Lilypad Award Top Clinic recognition. That includes Genesis Medical Center, Aledo. It ranked No. 1 among Midwest award winners.
The Lilypad Awards use data from each facility’s Centers for Medicare and Medicaid program reports to calculate rural-relevant metrics across five domains. They are: expenses, utilization, staffing, productivity and leverage.
According to Lilypad’s methodology, those awards and Lilypad’s Practice Operations National Database (POND) programs are used nationally by rural clinics, state offices of rural health, regional health care systems and rural hospitals to measure and monitor rural primary care practice performance.
