Get ready for more Food Truck Fights this summer and fall.

Organizers of the Food Truck Fight events – which feature dozens of food trucks gathered at one location so foodies can get their favorite menu items – will return to Bettendorf as well as Muscatine, Iowa, and our neighbor to the north, Galena, Illinois.

In addition to eating meals, patrons visiting the food trucks at the events can vote on their favorite trucks and help crown a Food Truck Fight champ at each location.

Last year, Arty’s Ice Cream & Grill of Wilton, Iowa, was crowned champion at the food events in Bettendorf and Muscatine. Birds was crowned the champion in Galena.

This year’s Food Truck Fights dates and locations will be:

  • Galena – noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, June 3, at Depot Park. General admission is $10. There will be bands and other entertainment throughout the day.
  • Bettendorf – noon to 8 p.m. Saturday, June 17, at the Isle Parkway. The Food Truck Fight was held at this site last June and attracted more than 10,000 people. “I think we broke downtown Bettendorf,” Bobby Ray Bunch, the event’s owner and organizer, told the QCBJ last year. “The lines just never slowed down.” This year, general admission is $10 and the event features bands and other entertainment throughout the day.
  • Muscatine – noon to 8 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 16, at Riverside Park.

Updates on this year’s Food Truck Fights are posted on the organization’s Facebook page.

Since the inaugural Food Truck Fight in 2017, the event has attracted more than 40,000 people from across the country. The events bring in between 12 and 25 food trucks at every event, according to organizers.
