Figge shines spotlight on Art of the Brew

The Figge Art Museum invites the Quad Cities to come learn – and sample – the Art of the Brew, a first-time event featuring the region’s best craft beers.

The Art of the Brew will be from 5:30-8 p.m., Friday, April 14, at the downtown Davenport museum. The public is invited to come taste some of the best craft beers in the Quad Cities area while supporting the Figge.

“Brewing beer is an artform all its own and with so many local breweries we thought this event was a great way to showcase the wide-selection of beer offerings all in one location,” said Figge Membership Coordinator Carlie Allison. “Plus it provides the museum the opportunity to engage different audiences and introduce them to the Figge Art Museum.”

Ten area breweries will participate in the inaugural Art of the Brew, including: 5ive Cities Brewing, Front Street Pub & Eatery, Radicle Effect Brewerks, Bent River Brewing Co., Rebels & Lions Brewing, Midwest Ale Works, Twin Span Brewing, Bootleg Hill Honey Meads, Stompbox Brewing and Contrary Brewing Company.

Guests will receive a souvenir tasting glass, sample beers and mead from the participating businesses. Festivities also will include live music, a silent auction and more.

Bring cash to try your luck with a spin (or spins) on the Wheel of Mystery Beer. The cost is $5 Spin/$25 Build Your Own Mystery Six-Pack).

A limited number of tickets are available for early access to the Brew. VIP tickets include:

  • Reserved seating.
