The East Moline State of the City address is set for noon Thursday, March 27, at the Bend Event Center in East Moline.The event has free admission and is open to the public. A lunch will be served for $25 per person. People who want lunch are asked to RSVP by March 24 to [email protected] or call (309) 752-1599.The doors will open at 11:30 a.m. and meal service begins at noon. The meal menu will include glazed grilled chicken breast, mashed potatoes, corn with salad and roll.The address will be held in conjunction with the East Moline-Silvis Rotary Club weekly meeting.During the event, East Moline Mayor Reggie Freeman is expected to reflect on the accomplishments of last year and to preview plans for the city this year.In past addresses, the mayor has also used the event to praise the entire city staff, community and business leaders for helping East Moline move forward.
