East Moline Community Fund taking grant apps through Sept. 1

The East Moline Community Fund, a partner of The Moline Foundation, is accepting grant applications through Friday, Sept. 1.   

Nonprofit, 501 (c) 3 organizations and governmental entities that serve East Moline and the surrounding area are encouraged to apply through the fund’s website

Last fall, the East Moline Community Fund approved $18,000 in grants to 13 area nonprofit groups.

Founded in 1953, the Moline Foundation is a community organization which receives and administers charitable gifts in a six-county region, including Rock Island, Henry, Mercer, Henderson and McDonough counties in Illinois, and Scott County in Iowa, according to a news release. The East Moline Community Fund, a partner fund of the Moline Foundation, works to raise funds to benefit the community, as well as review and allocate grants for charities that benefit East Moline, and to accept legacy and estate gifts, according to its website
