Early primary election voting underway in Davenport

In-person early voting is now underway for the Tuesday, Oct. 10 City of Davenport primary election.

In a news release, Scott County Auditor Kerri Tompkins reminded Davenport voters that they can cast their primary ballots now at the Scott County Auditor’s Office on the first floor of the Scott County Administrative Center, 600 W. Fourth St., Davenport. 

“Absentee ballots are ready and available for the Davenport city primary election,” she said in the release. “Since there is a mayoral primary, every eligible voter in the City of Davenport can vote.”

Eligible City of Davenport voters may cast their ballots at the auditor’s office through Monday, Oct. 9, from 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. on weekdays. The office also will open on Saturday, Oct. 7, from 9 a.m. to noon. 

On election day (Tuesday, Oct. 10), citizens may vote at their regularly assigned location from 7 a.m. to 8 p.m.
