Employers looking for workers should pay attention to an untapped resource: people with disabilities.
That’s the message expected to be delivered during the virtual Employer Council of Iowa’s (ECI) webinar entitled “Keys to an Untapped Labor Pool” at 11:30 a.m., March 29.
Michelle Krefft, director of business relations for Iowa Vocational Rehabilitation Services, will host the event and discuss untapped talent and the benefits of diversity in the workplace.
ECI, which is an advisory group located in the Iowa Workforce Development (IWD) region, said the webinar will feature these topics:
- Overview of the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA).
- Common myths about hiring people with disabilities.
- Recruiting and retaining employees with disabilities.
