Live from QC… It’s Saturday Nite! and an opportunity to help the Cancer Support Community Iowa NW Illinois at Gilda’s Club.

The gala, Live from QC … It’s Saturday Nite! Presented by MercyOne Genesis, returns to the Quad Cities on Saturday, April 5. The annual fundraising event supports the free cancer support services offered by Cancer Support Community, formerly Gilda’s Club Quad Cities.

The event will be at the Waterfront Convention Center, Bettendorf. Doors open at 6 p.m. with the event at 7 p.m. Organizers say it will be an unforgettable evening of comedy, music, and a short program by Cancer Support Community at Gilda’s Club.

This year’s headliner is Andy Woodhull, a nationally recognized comedian who has appeared on The Late Late Show with James Corden, Conan, Live at Gotham, The Half Hour on Comedy Central, and The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon. Following the laughter, guests are invited to dance the night away with the music of local favorite Funktastic Five.

In July 2024, the QC organization expanded its reach to cover all of Iowa as well as northwest Illinois – rolling out the new brand and name.

Gilda Radner tribute

The evening is more than just a night of entertainment; it is a heartfelt tribute to the late Gilda Radner, an original cast member of Saturday Night Live, who believed that “laughter is the best medicine.”

Gilda’s life and legacy inspires everything we do at Cancer Support Community at Gilda’s Club, and this event celebrates her impact.

The cost of tickets is $90 each or $650 for a table of eight. For tickets, visit csciowaillinois.org/live or call (563) 326-7504.

The event will feature heavy hors d’oeuvres and a cash bar. Guests will also enjoy a robust silent auction, wine and whiskey pull, and the opportunity to participate in a fund-a-need campaign – all in support of Cancer Support Community’s mission to provide no-cost programs and services to those impacted by cancer.
