The Combine Steakhouse, 910 Bend Blvd., East Moline, has permanently closed. The restaurant, located in The Bend Event Center, closed on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
“Due to the high demand for event space at The Bend Event Center, we have decided to close Combine Steakhouse on February 21, 2024. This will allow us to expand our event space,” according to an email sent out to customers on Wednesday, Feb. 21.
That same message also was posted on the restaurant’s Facebook page. In response to questions about Combine gift cards on that Facebook page, a post by “Combine” said card holders should contact the Bend Event Center for instructions on how to redeem them.
The East Moline restaurant opened in the then-fledgling Bend on the Mighty Mississippi River development in 2019. The restaurant’s sister business – the Combine Grill restaurant at 5266 Utica Ridge Road, Davenport – permanently closed its business last May.
That 3,400-square-foot, 100-seat eatery in Davenport opened for business in early February 2022 and after the East Moline site.
