Clinton State of City event is Thursday

CLINTON, Iowa –  What are the big issues facing the City of Clinton? What has the city accomplished this year? What projects are on the horizon?

Those questions and more are expected to be addressed during the Clinton State of the City Luncheon at 11:30 a.m. to 1 p.m., Thursday, Nov. 17, at the Eagle Point Lodge, 4101 N. Third St. Clinton. Clinton Mayor Scott Maddasion will give the address.

Mr. Maddasion perhaps gave a small preview to his address during the Oct. 24 grand opening of the $9 million Clinton Career Advancement Center. That facility, located next to Clinton Community College, offers career and technical support for students in the region. At that event, the mayor called the center a “gamer-changer for the community.”
