Clinton board taking applications for new member

The Clinton County Development Association (CCDA) now is accepting applications to fill one spot on its board of directors. Resumes and letters expressing interest in the position must be received by Friday, Feb. 18.

Candidates must be Clinton County residents. Resumes and a letter may be sent to: Clinton County Development Association, P.O. Box 2061, Clinton, Iowa 52733-2061. 

Documents may also be emailed to admin@clintoncountydevelopment.org. People are asked to call (563) 242-5702 to confirm receipt of the documents.

People interested in being on the board should describe their experiences and/or extent of participation and leadership in business, government, philanthropy or in the non-profit community. Following an interview process, one candidate will be selected and will be required to complete an extensive Iowa Department of Criminal Investigation Background Check and a license application to the Iowa Racing and Gaming Commission.

The CCDA is the nonprofit sponsor of the gaming license for the Wild Rose Casino and Resort in Clinton. The group provides financial help through grants to many organizations.

The new director will be seated on the board effective Thursday, March 31.
