InternQC, a Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce program, is designed to connect summer interns with the area’s professional and social scene to encourage them to stay in the region after graduation.
The program includes four networking events for area interns to socialize with other young professionals in informal settings. The chamber hopes that by showcasing the lifestyle and opportunities available in the Quad Cities, those interning this summer at various Quad Cities companies and organizations will be more inclined to seek permanent employment locally.
Employers are encouraged to register their interns for the program before the deadline, Monday, June 2. The cost to enroll each intern is $125 for chamber members; $200 for non-members.
Events already scheduled for InternQC participants are:
- Thursday, June 12: Intern QC kick-off at TBK Sports Complex, Bettendorf.
- Wednesday, June 25: Young Professionals/Intern QC Power Lunch at Vibrant Arena at the Mark, Moline.
- Wednesday, July 9: Intern QC Meetup (location to be determined).
- Thursday, July 24: Night at the Ballpark, Modern Woodmen Park, Davenport.
