Chamber hosts Student Success Symposium on April 23

The Quad Cities Chamber of Commerce will welcome more than 200 students from nine Quad Cities high schools at its upcoming Student Success Symposium, from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Tuesday, April 23, at the RiverCenter in downtown Davenport. 

Students will connect with regional employers in immersive hands-on experiences. This event will inspire and guide high school students on the path to their future careers. It is co-sponsored by the Moline Regional Foundation and the RiverCenter.

The symposium includes a hands-on career experience fair that aims to bridge the gap between industry leaders and high school students eager to explore diverse career opportunities through interactive showcases and live demonstrations. Educational breakout sessions will take participants on deep dives into topics ranging from cutting-edge technologies to skill-building workshops. Students will gain the knowledge needed to navigate the ever-evolving professional landscape.

The chamber invites participation by area businesses, which can showcase:

Interactive exhibits: Create engaging and interactive exhibits that allow students to experience your industry’s innovation firsthand.

  • Live demonstrations: Bring your industry to life through live demonstrations, giving students the chance to actively participate and understand the practical applications of your work.
  • Direct engagement: Engage with students one-on-one, sharing insights into your industry’s operations, career pathways and the hands-on skills necessary for success.
