Bogguss to headline Visit MerCo’s Ride 17 Music Festival

Grammy-winning country music Artist Suzy Bogguss will headline this year’s Ride 17 Music Festival, the Mercer County celebration of music, in collaboration with the Central Park Grooves concert series, Visit MerCo and the City of Aledo announced.

The Aledo-born talent, who starred in musicals and was homecoming queen at Aledo High School, announced her upcoming Sept. 13th Ride 17 appearance in person to a cheering crowd from the Aledo Central Park Bandshell at the Aledo Rhubarb Fest last weekend. The Ride 17 Music Festival is free.

Ms. Bogguss is known for her timeless voice and heartfelt performance style. Her hits incude “Outbound Plane”, “Letting Go”, and “Drive South”, according to a news release from Visit MerCo. 

“Bringing in a nationally recognized artist like Suzy Bogguss is a big step for Ride 17,” said Kasi Henshaw, executive director of Visit MerCo, the Mercer County’s destination marketing organization. “We’re proud to showcase not only incredible music, but also the vibrant culture of Mercer County.”

Ride 17 is more than just a concert. Visit MerCo calls it “a full celebration of regional talent giving locals and visitors a day to enjoy the rhythm of the route. Spanning multiple communities, this unique music festival offers live performances, food vendors, and family-friendly fun throughout the area.”
