Big T Wear Big & Tall Clothing in Rock Island will host a grand re-opening celebration in conjunction with its first year in business from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m. Saturday, May 6.
The clothing store is located inside downtown in the Shoppes on Second at 1700 Second Ave. The Saturday celebration will feature walking tacos, refreshments, and cake for customers.
Big T Wear is for the “big, tall and down to small,” offering sizes ranging from Small to 7XL and features everyday essentials like jeans, button-down shirts, T-shirts, socks, belts, undergarments and hats. It also features workwear, sportsman gear and casual clothing options.
With the first year under their belt, owner Anthony Jones and partner DeAnna Freeman-Foster have expanded their location inside the Shoppes on Second to a larger, more prominent location to maximize visibility and growth opportunities.
During their anniversary event, Big T Wear is supporting Soles for Children, a nonprofit shoe and coat drive benefiting underserved children in the Quad Cities. A donation box will be inside the store for customers to drop off new shoes, new coats, new hats, new mittens, and new socks for children ranging in age from three months to teenagers.
Big T is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesdays through Saturdays.
