Explore new ideas and engage in lively discussions at CommUniversity this February at Black Hawk College in Moline.
CommUniversity is a series of Sunday afternoon seminars taught by local experts in arts/humanities, personal enrichment, regional studies and theology/spirituality. Organizers say it’s a friendly learning atmosphere with no exams or papers to write.
Most CommUniversity classes will be offered in person at the Quad-Cities Campus in Moline with two classes offered virtually. Participants select one class to enroll in that will meet each Sunday from Feb. 2-23, from 2-4 p.m. Classes are open to anyone 18 and older.
Choose from more than 20 classes such including:
- American Sign Language.
- Basic Spanish.
- Cassandra, Or What Troy Can Teach Us.
- Culture, Faith and Cuisine: A Tour of Islam and Muslims Around the World.
- Disciples of the Disciples: The Writings of the Apostolic Fathers.
- Have Fun, Play the Ukulele!
- Navigating the Digital World.
- Photography: Black and White or Color?
- Rock Island County: Transformation to Settled Land.
- Writing the Amazing One-Act Play!
