Bald Eagle Days set for Jan. 6-8

The annual Quad City Bald Eagle Days will be held Friday through Sunday, Jan. 6-8, at the QCCA Expo Center, 2641 4th Ave., Rock Island.

The event will be open from 4-8 p.m. Friday (free admission for children this day); 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday. Admission is $6 for adults, $1 for children ages 6-15, and free admission for children under the age of 6.

Bald Eagle Days will include a series of workshops on eagles, bats, birds of prey and other wildlife. There will also be numerous vendors at the show.

The event will also include an eagle bus tour through the Quad Cities Audubon Society. Those tours will be Saturday and Sunday at the following times: 10:30-11:30 a.m.; 11:45 a.m.-12:45 p.m.; 1-2 p.m., and 2:15-3:15 p.m. For more information, see the Quad Cities Audubon website.

Here are the scheduled Bald Eagles Days workshops and presentations scheduled at the show:

Friday

  • 4:30 p.m. – Incredible bats.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Birds of prey.
  • 6:30 p.m. – Big Run Wolf Ranch.

Saturday

  • 10:30 a.m. – Cold-blooded parties.
  • 11:30 a.m. – Birds of prey.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Incredible bats.
  • 1:30 p.m. –  Big Run Wolf Ranch.
  • 2:30 p.m. – Cold-blooded parties.
  • 3:30 p.m. – Birds of prey.
  • 4:30 p.m. – Incredible bats.
  • 5:30 p.m. – Big Run Wolf Ranch.
  • 6:30 p.m. – Birds of prey.

Sunday

  • 10:30 a.m. – Big Run Wolf Ranch.
  • 11:30 a.m. –  Cold-blooded parties.
  • 12:30 p.m. – Birds of prey.
  • 1:30 p.m. – Big Run Wolf Ranch.
