Arsenal bridge and ramp restrictions in place through Sept. 20

The Arsenal Directorate of Public Works will repair the expansion joint on the Moline (Arsenal) Bridge beginning today, Sept. 14, through Wednesday, Sept. 20, officials announced in a news release.

The repairs will begin on the outbound (west) lane and then transition to the inbound (east) lane, with ramp and lane closures limited to 8 a.m.-2 p.m. daily. The off-ramp from the Arsenal to River Drive will be closed to all outgoing traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. while the outbound lane is being repaired. It will reopen when work transitions to the inbound lane.

Outbound Arsenal traffic will then be able to use the 14th Street ramp from the Moline gate, the release states.

When work transitions to the inbound lane, the on-ramp from River Drive to the Arsenal will be closed to all incoming traffic from 8:30 a.m. to 2 p.m. Inbound Arsenal traffic may still access the Moline gate through the 14th Street ramp, according to the release.

Periodic closings are necessary to perform some tasks, but detour signs will be placed and flaggers will provide traffic control when necessary.
