The Davenport IowaWORKS office will host a Health Care Expo from 2 to 4:30 p.m., Thursday, June 26, at NorthPark Mall, Davenport, in the Food Court.
According to IowaWORKS Occupational Projections Data, nine of the 10 careers projected for rapid growth are within the health care industry.Â
“We feel that it is important for our community to have access to opportunities and information in the healthcare industry,” said Mark Holloway, an IowaWORKS career planner.
The expo is an opportunity for attendees to explore community services that promote a healthy lifestyle as well as seek health care employment, and gather educational information. Resources on behavioral health, tobacco cessation, and chiropractic care will be available, along with health screenings.
The expo aims to be a hands-on experience, empowering attendees to better understand and manage their health.
