A new Whitey’s Ice Cream store is scheduled to open on the corner of Forest Grove Drive and Devils Glen Road in Bettendorf’s new Glen Grove development.
Whitey’s will be located 3491 Forest Grove Drive, near the TBK Bank Sports Complex area. The retail ice cream store will occupy a nearly 3,700-square-foot building.
“This second Bettendorf location will feature a drive-thru and is just a mile down the road from the TBK (Bank) Sports Complex area. We are very excited to get this project underway and will be sure to keep you updated on the progress and opening date,” Whitey’s announced last week on its Facebook page.
An opening date for the new ice cream shop has not been announced. Go here to see all Whitey’s locations.
The Quad Cities-based real estate development companies GRT QC Properties and the Geifman Group also recently announced a partnership to build the new Whitey’s shop.
In addition to the new standalone Whitey’s, the developers also have plans for a multi-tenant, mixed-use building to be built nearby. This new, 10,000-square-foot building will include a Hungry Hobo restaurant, The Cities Private Wealth Group and has one commercial space still available.
