That ceremony, which attracted about 30 people from the business community, took place on a partly sunny, very windy day on an empty lot at 5632 Forest Grove Drive. (That site is near the end of the oversized net structures of Iron Tee Golf at 6909 Iron Tee Way.)The weather conditions were so windy that the people at the ceremony were asked to huddle near two large construction vehicles, which were acting as windbreak.During Monday’s ceremony, Bettendorf Mayor Pro-tem Scott Naumann praised the business for investing in the community and expanding. “This organization gets stronger and stronger every year,” he added. Here are some of the highlights of the new commercial building and Duck Creek Tire:
Construction of the new structure will began soon and is expected to be complete in October.
Duck Creek Tire & Service will occupy most of that building, taking up about 7,000 square feet of space. The remaining 3,600 square feet will be available to tenants.Â
The new Duck Creek Tire will feature an 11-bay facility that can handle more work.
The current Duck Creek Tire location at 4000 Middle Road, Bettendorf, will remain open. It is open 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on weekdays, and 7:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday. It is closed on Sunday. The phone number is (563) 355-1464.
The new service center will have six to eight employees. In total, the business will have about 25 employees.
Some of the services handled at Duck Creek Tire include tire services, oil changes, brake repair, wheel alignments, belts, hoses and more.
“The support of the community has been fantastic. .. We’re excited for this expansion,” said Mr. Crist.
