DUBUQUE, Iowa – Honkamp, P.C., whose offices include Davenport, once again ranks as one of the Midwest’s top accounting firms, according to a leading industry publication. Accounting Today recently named Honkamp a 2025 Top 10 Midwest CPA firm – just as it has every year for more than a decade, the firm announced. Katie ThomasIn addition, Honkamp landed at the top of Accounting Today’s list of “Firms to Watch.” Honkamp was the fastest-growing, Iowa-based firm highlighted by the publication again this year.The Dubuque-based CPA and business advisory group has 11 offices in three states and about 350 employees. In 2024, the firm acquired The Brems Group, LLP, a CPA firm with offices in Cedar Rapids and Coralville.“We’ve grown tremendously over the past few years, as we continue to deliver premium services to both existing and new clients. We also recently increased our presence in the bustling Cedar Rapids-Iowa City Corridor with the addition of The Brems Group,” Honkamp President and CEO Katie Thomas said in a news release. “We are excited Accounting Today has recognized Honkamp and are grateful to our clients and talented staff for getting us here,” she added. “In 2025, we intend to continue our growth and to make a difference in the communities that we serve.” The Brems Group addition marked Honkamp’s fifth acquisition in three years.Honkamp added Nigl Accounting LLP, based in Oshkosh, Wisconsin, in December of 2021. In November 2022, Honkamp acquired Vaassen, Pluemer CPAs, LLC, of Platteville, Wisconsin, and the Cedar Falls, Iowa, office of Gosling & Co., P.C. Most recently, Schowalter & Jabouri, P.C., joined the firm in December 2023.
