Iowa QC businesses awarded $860,000 in September SBA loans

Three Davenport businesses and one in Muscatine received approval for loans totaling $860,000 through the Iowa District Office of the U.S. Small Business Association (SBA) in the month of September.

In total, the SBA district office said in a news release, the SBA backed 55 loans for $25,976,000 to Iowa businesses from participating lenders using its two largest lending programs.

The SBA 7(a) and 504 programs capitalized 26 new and 29 existing businesses that reportedly will create 103 new jobs and retain 466 jobs as a result. 

The four Iowa Quad Cities businesses and the SBA loans they received in September are:

Scott County loans

  • Messenger Motorworks Ltd, $330,000 to create one job at this existing general automotive repair business in Davenport.  
  • On-Farm Marketing LLC, $200,000, to create one new job and retain two existing jobs at this farm management services business in Davenport.
  • Nally’s Kitchen, Inc., $180,000 to create two jobs and retain nine at this existing full-service restaurant.   

Muscatine County loans

  • Krueger Eyecare Inc., $150,000 to retain two jobs at its Muscatine optometrists’ offices.
