Musco Lighting has been named as one of Iowa’s Top Workplaces by the Des Moines Register.

The list is based on team member feedback gathered through a third-party survey administered by Energage. The confidential survey measures 15 culture drivers that are critical to an organization’s success including alignment, performance, and connection. It is the second consecutive year that Musco has captured the honor.

“For nearly 50 years, Musco has taken a team-first approach to work, creating an environment in which team members can thrive and make a difference for each other, our customers, and our communities,” said Musco Executive Vice President and Chief Operating Officer Shelly Herr. “I’m proud of how we come together every day to make Musco a great place to work.

“Earning a Top Workplaces award is a badge of honor for companies, especially because it comes authentically from their employees,” said Eric Rubino, Energage CEO. “That’s something to be proud of. In today’s market, leaders must ensure they’re allowing employees to have a voice and be heard. That’s paramount. Top Workplaces do this, and it pays dividends.”

In addition to being named an Iowa Top Workplace, Musco also earned the Direction award, given to companies where Team Members feel especially strongly that the organization is going in the right direction.

Musco is the world leader in sports and large-area lighting, providing innovative solutions for projects in more than 125 countries. With headquarters in Oskaloosa, Iowa, Musco has more than 1,800 global team members across the state, the USA, and the world including Australia, Canada, China, Cyprus, Germany, Mexico, Qatar, South Africa, South Korea, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom.

Musco has a facility in Muscatine, Iowa. In June, the company celebrated the opening of a new 28,000-square-foot pole manufacturing and aluminum fabrication building in that community.

The company has about 1,700 total employees. Some 1,200 of those employees work in its Iowa facilities, including about 500 in Muscatine.
