Newcomers or residents looking to reconnect to Muscatine are invited to an orientation at the Live Muscatine Welcome Orientation, to meet fellow residents from 5:30 to 6:30 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 3 in the Howe Conference Room at the Muscatine Community YMCA.
A light dinner will be provided, and free child care is available, ensuring a relaxed and family-friendly environment.
“Moving to a new city is more than just settling into a new house or routine. It’s about becoming part of a community, learning about local history, and finding the resources you need to thrive,” committee member Megan Francis said in a news release. “With Live Muscatine, our goal is to equip newcomers with everything they need to feel at home in Muscatine.”
There will be a presentation covering opportunities to connect with other newcomers, share experiences, and hear from community leaders.
To register for the orientation or future events, visit muscatine.com/live-muscatine. Or call 563-263-9996. For additional information about the program, contact Ms. Francis at [email protected].
