
From 4 to 6 p.m., Wednesday, Oct. 2, Bettendorf invites residents to go outside and take a walk for 30 minutes to promote Iowa’s heathiest state initiative that’s all about being active and connecting with your community.
The City of Bettendorf’s Parks & Recreation Department is hosting the event for the Healthiest State 14th Annual Walk, part of the Iowa Healthiest State Initiative. The event will be at Kiwanis Park, 4223 Greenbrier Drive. During this special two-hour event, you can:
- Take a stroll on one of Bettendorf’s beautiful trails.
- Get a sneak peek inside some of Bettendorf’s Public Works trucks.
- Visit with Bettendorf police officers and firefighters.
- Play games with the Bettendorf Parks & Recreation Department, Bettendorf Public Library, and Family Museum.
- Learn how to play pickleball with the Quad Cities Pickleball Club.
“The Healthiest State Initiative is a great way to get the family outdoors, enjoy one of our many awesome Parks and explore what the City of Bettendorf has to offer our citizens,” said Kim Kidwell, Culture & Recreation Director.
