CASI will be hosting its first-ever Mrs. Roper Romp Brunch and Music Bingo from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 24, at its Davenport center at 1035 West Kimberly Road.
Mrs. Roper Romps are popping up regularly in cities across the country in celebration of Helen Roper, the confident, quirky, wisecracking, caftan-wearing, life-of-the-party landlady played by Audra Lindley on the hit sitcom “Three’s Company” from 1977-1984.
Guests are encouraged to wear caftans and red curly wigs as they enjoy brunch and 70s music bingo. Local favorite, Rock n’ Roll Bingo of the Quad Cities, Inc., will emcee and provide musical entertainment.
The Center for Active Seniors Inc. also invites participants to dress up as the other sitcom’s characters – Stanley, Chrissie, Jack, Janet and Mr. Furley are welcome too!
There will be a cash bar with $10 bottomless mimosas and fun drinks – including the “Rum and Knock on Our Door” and “Jack Tripper on a Ripper.” Mocktails also will be available.
Cost is just $20 per person in advance which includes brunch, your bingo card and one bar drink (cocktail, mocktail, or soda). Tickets will be $25 at the door. Tickets can be purchased by calling CASI at (563) 386-7477.
Funds raised will go toward CASI programs and services to assist area seniors. For more information contact Amy Warren, CASI Operations Assistant at 563-386-7477 ext. 252 or [email protected].
