First Central to host Grilling for Charity event

CLINTON, Iowa –  First Central State Bank will continue its tradition this month of Grilling for Charity fundraisers.

The event will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. Friday, Aug. 23, at First Central State Bank’s Lincoln Way location in Clinton. The proceeds collected from this fundraiser will benefit the Felix Adler Children’s Discovery Center, which offers an environment for families and

children to explore through arts, culture and science at its downtown Clinton location.

First Central State Bank launched the Grilling for Charity fundraisers in 2010. Since its inception, the events have raised tens of thousands of dollars for local nonprofits.

Last year, First Central State Bank raised more than $14,000 through Grilling For Charity.

The upcoming cookout’s menu includes hamburgers, cheeseburgers, hot dogs, chips, a drink and a dessert – all for a donation. Businesses and organizations interested in delivery, should call (563) 242-2265 prior to 4 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22.
