Mel Foster Co. has been named as one of the Most Giving Companies in Iowa by The Grateful Giving Foundation of Des Moines, Iowa.
The inaugural report is the first of its kind, celebrating businesses that have demonstrated exceptional commitment to charitable giving and community impact.
The Most Giving Companies in Iowa annual report serves as a testament to the power of corporate philanthropy in creating positive change, the foundation said in a news release. The report aims to inspire others to follow suit and give back to their communities. (Go here to see the report.)

Mel Foster Insurance is a full-service, independent agency with specialized professionals in business risk management, employee benefits, individual/group retirement planning, and personal insurance. It was founded in 1932, represents over 25 of the region’s most financially stable insurance carriers, and offers residential and commercial coverage.
The Grateful Giving Foundation is a 501 (c)(3) public charity. It said its vision is that every time the world spends money, give a small portion of each transaction to give food to the hungry, shelter to the homeless, and help thousands of other causes.
