GENESEO, Illinois, – The 56th Annual Geneseo Music Festival, June 14-16, the Geneseo Chamber of Commerce announced recently.
According to a chamber news release, the weekend promises fun and entertainment for people of all ages, with music performances, food vendors and a variety of family-friendly activities.
The popular Father’s Day Music Festival Parade, sponsored by Geneseo Communications, in downtown Geneseo will step off at 1 p.m. Sunday. June 16. The parade celebrates fathers, grandfathers, and uncles with a classic Midwestern summertime backdrop.
Craft fair boast 60 booths
Music lovers will appreciate the wide range of musical genres, including rock, country, jazz, and blues. Foodies will enjoy the variety of food vendors, offering mouth-watering dishes for all to enjoy. Festival-goers can also participate in such activities as carnival games, buy unique crafts and gifts from over 60 vendors at the Music Festival Craft Fair and more.
New in 2024 will be the first Little Miss Music Fest Pageant, which will take place before the annual Geneseo Rotary Music Festival Queen Pageant on Friday evening.
There will be live music on Saturday at the Geneseo City Park, Geneseo Brewing Company, and the Geneseo Moose Lodge 990. On Sunday morning, the Father’s Day Fly-In Breakfast at Gen-Airpark is a popular draw.
Event organizer and Geneseo Chamber Executive Director Zack Sullivan said: “We are thrilled to bring this festival to Geneseo and provide a fun and memorable experience for all attendees. The Father’s Day Parade is always a crowd favorite, and we are excited to see the community come together for this special occasion.”
