Iowa Senator Scott Webster, R-Bettendorf, was recently announced as one of 29 Emerging Leaders by GOPAC.
“Nominated by the legislative leadership in their state, these legislators have demonstrated promise in positively impacting their state and rising within the Republican ranks,” GOPAC said in a news release.
“I ran for office to help hard-working Iowans and their families, whether it’s through passing tax relief packages, reducing burdensome regulations and encouraging an environment of economic growth and competition in Iowa,” Mr. Webster, a former Bettendorf City Council member, said in the release. “After just completing my second legislative session at the Capitol and the accomplishments we’ve implemented, I am humbled to have my efforts recognized and encouraged as I work to best represent my constituents in the Iowa Senate.”
The GOPAC Emerging Leaders Program is a year-long initiative to educate the next generation of Republican legislators. The program equips them with information to help them legislate more effectively, and ultimately achieve leadership roles within their state or run for higher office.
