A new Jersey Mike’s Subs restaurant will open this spring in the TBK Sports Complex area in Bettendorf.
The sandwich restaurant is now being built at 5261 Competition Drive.
An exact opening date has not been set yet, but franchise owners Camilla and Aron Lees expect to open the location in April or May, according to Christine van Moorsel of Splash Communications, which does media relations work for Jersey Mike’s.
Work on the new business continued on Wednesday, March 6. The exterior work and signage all appeared to be complete on the new Jersey Mike’s site. Signs in the front windows stated “We’re Hiring” and “Coming Soon.” (Click here to find out more about jobs at Jersey Mike’s.)
Also, Jersey Mike’s sandwich restaurants across the Quad Cities region will soon help the local Junior Achievement of the Heartland organization.
The five Jersey Mike’s locations in the Quad Cities and in Clinton and Dubuque, Iowa, will take part in the company’s Day of Giving activities on Wednesday, March 27. On that day, every dollar in sales – not just profits – will go to the JA of the Heartland from those locations.
In fact, Jersey Mike’s designates March as its Month of Giving. During the month, the company collects donations to help more than 200 charities across the nation.
Peter Cancro, founder of Jersey Mike’s Subs, made a stop at Jersey Mike’s location at 4451 E. 53rd St., Davenport, as part of the company’s nationwide “Day of Giving” events last year.
