
Bettendorf Mayor Bob Gallagher will give the annual Bettendorf State of the City Address on Wednesday, Feb. 21, at the Quad-Cities Waterfront Convention Center.
The doors will open at 11 a.m., opening remarks and lunch will begin at 11:30 a.m., and the State of the City Address will begin at 12:15 p.m.
This event is open to the public and has free admission to attend. A $15 lunch is optional. To pay for the lunch online, visit www.bettendorf.org/StateoftheCity or pay at the door with cash/credit card/check.
Bettendorf city officials said the city have five main goals that will be addressed during the event:
- Remain a financially sound city that provides quality city services.
- Have orderly growth and quality development.
- Support riverfront/downtown development to create a destination for entertainment and living.
- Grow current businesses and attract new businesses.
- Be a premier place to live in the Quad Cities.
Those five main goals were also discussed during last year’s State of the City Address.
